We are all part of life evolving. But both modernity and its postmodern critique are alienating us from life. What would it mean for our species to deeply reconnect with the evolutionary process? What would it mean - in the 21st century - to convene the sacred? We live in uncertain times. This really is ‘a time between worlds’. The technological, economic and cultural forces that shape global history are now accelerating and destabilizing so fast that our conventional patterns of collective understanding, sentiment and expectation cannot make sense of how we should act.
We sense that our global civilization is rapidly approaching a break-down or break-through moment. Our technological tools are hugely out of pace with our inner development and growth.
Maybe our species is just an adolescent, and this transition is the step needed to find our true nature as adults. The global meta-crisis might be offering us as a species an opportunity to become self aware of this evolutionary process and to become conscious co-creators of the emergent future. A process in which we all have a part to play.
